  1. 5 Ways To Work Around Pandemic Anxiety and Feel Better

  2. Either we are watching tv or surfing social media over internet we see covid19 news everywhere. Either a neighbor is struggling with covid19 or lost fight to it, every thing seems so disturbing that it can be hard for us to control our thoughts. So how do we take care of our mental health during the pandemic? Take a deep breath and talk to yourself to make your anxiety realize that you are very much in control of your thoughts! Here are 5 ways we can work around pandemic anxiety and feel better during these trying times-

  3. 1. Focus on physical exercise: Physical exercise helps us release endorphins, feel-good hormones.

  4. 2. Balance your day out with a routine that must have a significant amount dedicated to ‘ME’ time.

  5. 3. Practice gratitude: Trying times make us realize how grateful we should be to people around us. Maybe to those delivering essential products like food and grocery risking their lives to help us enjoy our meal.

  6. 4. During the pandemic we need to maintain physical distance, not social or emotional. We can connect with our family and friends over a video call, if not communicate through voice calls but communicate. Social support is the biggest savior in times of distress.

  7. 5. Take up a relaxation practice, like deep breathing or meditation, before going to sleep and after waking up. A night of good sleep is a must during such trying times.

  8. If these thing don't work for you, seek external support, such as online counselling by a professional counselor, who can help you learn some mindful skills to cope in these tough times.
