  2. All Must Die • From the greatest to the least. • Joseph died, as did Jacob, Isaac, etc. • Hebrews 9:27 • Genesis 3:19; Eccl. 12:6-7 • Then a final accounting: Matt. 25:31ff; Romans 14:12

  3. Hope Is Important • For the Israelites: Gen. 50:24 • We can endure most anything if there is an “end” in sight. • In Moses day Israel had lost hope of release. • For the Christian: Heb. 6:10-12; 19-20 • I Peter 1:3

  4. We Must Learn To Suffer Persecution • Exodus 1:11-14 • But God was with them, v. 12 • We too will be tested: James 1:12; I Peter 4:16 • I Cor. 10:12-13 • 2 Tim. 3:12

  5. Patience Is A Necessity • They endured: Ex. 1:11-14 • No other choice • We must endure, too: James 1:3-4 • 2 Pet. 1:5-7 • James 5:10-11

  6. God Never Forgets A Promise • Gen. 50:24 – Joshua 24:32 • To us – 2 Peter 3:9; Rev. 2:7, 10 • Have you prepared to meet God? • Are you continuing in faithfulness?
