  1. What is a vector line in art? Vector lines, also referred to as “paths,” are formed by connecting two or more discrete points. These points define the beginning and endpoints of a line, and they can also be placed along the line if you plan for your line to change directions or curve. As we learned previously, vector graphics are made of a series of mathematical equations that your vector graphics software reads and renders each time you open a vector file. These equations define various points on a Cartesian plane, and lines connect the points, creating an image.
