  2. Dear Parents: For this quarter in FLES class, we will cover the theme of Restaurant (“El Restaurante”). Your child will learn about (1) food, (2) things found in a restaurant, and (3) ordering food. As a culmination to this theme, your child will be asked to do a role play restaurant presentation (skit) using the vocabulary learned in FLES class. This presentation (skit) will be done in a small group to create a restaurant atmosphere . Students can be creative, dress up, bring play food or pictures. Please have students finish anything not completed in class and practice at home. The question structures below will be covered in class and are here for your information. Students will be given the restaurant dialogue for their skit. The following structures will be learned in class: QUESTIONS: ¿Qué quiere comer? Yo quiero comer (pollo, papas fritas, y ensalada) por favor. What do you want to eat? I want to eat (chicken, french fries, and salad) please. ¿Qué quiere beber? Yo quiero beber (leche de chocolate, agua, etc.) por favor. What do you want to drink? I want to drink (chocolate milk, water, etc.) please. ¿Necesita algo más? Sí, yo necesito un (tenedor, cuchara, cuchillo) por favor. Do you need anything else? Yes I need a (fork, spoon, knife) please. La cuenta, por favor. Aquí tiene, son $_____dólares. The bill, please. Here it is; it’s $____ dollars. • ***Extra Credit*** • Students may earn extra credit on this project by bringing a note from their parents or from a restaurant manager or waiter stating that they ordered in Spanish!

(2x)Si alguien te pregunta ¿Qué quieres comer?con arte, con gracia,debes responder:Por las mañanas no debe faltar,Un buen desayuno con leche y “tostás”.Si eso no te gusta lo puedes cambiarpor fruta, por zumos o algún cereal. Come menos “chuches” no sirven “paná”cámbialas por frutas que alimentan máste dan energía, te hacen saltar,sentirte contento y poder estudiar… Para crecer, debemos comer,de todo un poco y masticar bien.(2x)Una cosita debes recordar,todo lo que comes no te nutre igual,cada alimento tiene algo especial,saber combinarlos resulta esencial.Hidratos y grasas energía dan,calcio y proteínas muy fuerte te haránSi las vitaminas te van a liarcon fruta y verdura no van a faltar…Para crecer, debemos comer,de todo un poco y masticar bien.   8. PROYECTO El restaurante Student Instructions Purpose: This lesson is incorporated into a unit about restaurant, food, and ordering food at a restaurant. Youwill use the vocabulary and structures learned in the restaurant theme to do a role play (skit). You may expand your dialogue by using additional vocabulary and structures previously learned in class. You will complete the dialogue provided in class and work in pairs to role play it. You are encouraged to be creative by dressing up, bringing play food, pictures, etc… Objective: You will create a restaurant atmosphere and give a role-play presentation using the structures and vocabulary on the theme “el restaurante”. Task: You will work in pairs to complete a skit about your chosen RESTAURANTE (restaurant). A dialogue has been provided and can be used as a tool when you present. You are encouraged to use any other dialogue or vocabulary learned in class to make your skit unique and realistic.
