Discovering Me: Grace Stratton's Journey from Richmond Hill to Alcona

I am Grace Stratton, residing in Alcona for the past year and a half. Originally from Richmond Hill, I lived in Woodbridge and Newmarket before moving here. My family is important to me; my dad runs a renovations business, and my mom works in HR. I have an older sister, Kira, who studies to be a dietitian at UPEI. I cherish traveling, having visited Florida, Quebec, and Newfoundland, with plans to explore P.E.I. and Texas. In the future, I aspire to be a vet, enjoy cheerleading, and have a dog named Ruby.

  3. Where I live • I live in Alcona • I’ve only lived here for 1 and half years • I like where my house is because its close walking distance to the school, the beach, and Tim Hortons

  4. Birth • I was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario • I lived in Woodbridge • Then I moved to Newmarket when I was 3. I lived in Newmarket for 11 years • I moved to Innisfil a couple months after grade 8 started

  5. Parents My dad: • My dad’s name is Paul • He has his own company in renovations and contracting. • His parents and siblings were all born in Newfounland. But he was born in Toronto and raised in the city. My mom: • My mom’s name is Lisa • She works in Toronto in the human resource department finding people jobs. • My mom was adopted, and raised in a family in Bracebridge in the country on a farm.

  6. Family Background • On my dad’s side everyone was born in Newfoundland. My grandparents, my aunt and uncles were all born and raised there. I have family who still live there. • On my mom’s side my Nana lives in B.C and my grandma used to live in Ontario.

  7. My Sister • I have one sister named Kira • She is 18 • She goes to school at the University of Prince Edward Island • She wants to be a dietitian

  8. Traveling • I’ve been to Florida, Quebec and Newfoundland • This summer I’m going to P.E.I • And next year I’m going to Texas • My goal is to travel to every province and territory and every state
