"The provincial Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks ("MECP") has migrated your Waste Class codes ("WCC") and Waste Stream Descriptors from HWIN to the new Hazardous Waste Program Registry ("HWP"). That date, however, will be too late for you to make changes to keep you in compliance in a timely manner. These will be the major changes: There are three things for you to first consider: 1. Be your own “delegate” 1. No more annual registrations for each of your generating facilities. The registration fees will be replaced with a “fee per digital manifest” system. 2. Or “fully delegate” to a service provider (Authorized Generator Delegate) 3. Or “partially delegate” to a service provider 2. No more paper manifests. This will be replaced by a digital reporting service. Not sure what to do? We are here to help.
