  1. Who was David Barksdale?

  2. American gang leader David Barksdale was born on May 24, 1947, in Sallis, Mississippi although his full name was “Donise David Barksdale.” He was the son of Virginia and Charlie Barksdale and grew up with his twelve other sisters and sisters. The Barksdale family moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1957. • Soon after they had settled, the youthful Barksdale innovated the Black Disciple Nation in 1960 which, like numerous road gangs at the time, substantially comported teenagers between 13 and 17. The Black votaries were also more known as the Devils’ votaries. By 1966, the votaries had intermingled with several other gangs and had grown vastly more important in opposition to their principal rival, the Black Stone Rangers, a much larger association. Barksdale led the votaries in wanton violence against the Rangers and other associations like the lower Black mobsters, and occasionally against people who weren't combined with Chicago gangs or the gang life, to induce respect and fear.

  3. Was King Von David Barksdale’s grandson? • King Von joked at the launch of a YouTube videotape about being King Dave’s grandson. numerous suckers believe he was also known by the surname Grandson because he’s affiliated with David Barksdale. • King Von explained “When I was in jail, I got the name Grandson because I reminded people of King David. The aged guys in jail, guys who were around when David was around, would call me that cause I carried myself to like him. • “King David was a fabulous figure and a joe everybody looked up to. He ran the thoroughfares with his morals and his law, and that’s the law I live by too. That’s why people call me Grandson. Everybody wanted to follow me, and be around me.” • It seems as if King Von just reminded people of David Barksdale rather than being his factual grandson. • announcement far as we know, David Barksdale had three children – Melinda, David Jr, andronniebarksdale. • Reportedly, Melinda had a son called Derrick, but it’s not reported whether either of King Von’s parents was related to David Barksdale. • As the issue stands, it's doubtful King Von has any blood ties to the Barksdale family.
