Lutheran church of Australia VISUAL ARTS AWARDS The project may be: • permanent or temporary, eg a floral festival or seasonal displays. • undertaken either by members of a group or by individual artists and craft workers.
Lutheran church of Australia VISUAL ARTS AWARDS Artworks may: • focus on specific aspects of new church building or the redesign of existing facilities and their relationship to worship • include a series of events, comprehensive visual arts programs within organizations, educational programs related to the visual arts within worship
2008 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – CONGREGATION Immanuel Lutheran Church, Woden ACT Christmas pulpit, altar and lectern panels – one of a set of paraments for the Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, and Trinity seasons. They were designed by Leanne Stahl and made by Robyn Pfeiffer.
2008 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – INDIVIDUAL Janet Pfeiffer, Perth WA “Holy of Holies”, in mixed media on canvas, was designed as a focus for Lenten contemplation. It measures 40x80cm and is permanently housed in the prayer chapel at Immanuel College, Novar Gardens.
