Planning allows you to…

1. Create a vision:

  • Personal planning: If you’re clear on what you’re doing, it’s easier to get everyone else on the same page.
  • Organizational planning: Create a shared expectation of what will be accomplished.

2. Set goals:

  • Develop leaders (give roles)
  • Declare victories!
  • Develop a rationale for why things occurred the way they did

Create categories for major tactics and responsibilities, fixed dates, priorities, goals, and time allotments.

  • Include specific numerical goals
  • Break out specific time allocations for each activity – including prep. time
  • Prioritize (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Use your plan to figure out what you realistically can expect to get done. Delegate the rest.
  • Use your plan every day!
    • Stick to it, update it, evaluate it
