  1. Introduction • Congratulations on applying for the 2010 IAAPA Brass Ring Awards: Marketing Section! • The awards recognize and celebrate the best marketing and public relations that the attractions industry has to offer. • Use this MS PowerPoint (PPT) template as your entry form for the following awards categories: • Print Advertisement (Slide # 7) • Outdoor Advertisement (Slide # 8) • Integrated Marketing Campaign (Slides 9-11) • Digital Marketing Campaign (Slides 9-11)

  2. Introduction You may use PowerPoint's features to insert text, photos, graphics, images, audio and video to support your application and to “tell the story” of your campaign. Your PowerPoint file can have as many slides as you need. However the over all file size should be limited to 100mb.

  3. Awards Judging • An adjudication panel of marketing professionals will judge the entries. Each judge will review and score entries using the following criteria: • Description of program and quality of supporting materials. • Results of the program and its impact on the facility. • Originality and creativity of programs. • The decision of the judges will be final. • The judges may assign an entry to another category • if they deem it more appropriate.

Awards Entry: Background Information • Please use this slide to provide background information on your facility. • Information should include: • Name of Facility (include logo and photograph) • Location • Size (annual attendance) • Facility staff (full time, part time and seasonal employees) • Year founded • Notable achievements • Number of attractions (where applicable) • What is your attractions unique selling point?

  5. Awards Entry: Marketing Information • Please use this slide to provide background information on the marketing at your facility. • Information could include: • Primary target market • Secondary target market • Competitive Media Market • Any other relevant information

  6. Awards Entry: Success Measures • Please use this slide to tell us how you measured the success of your campaign. • Such Information could include: • Media hits • Page impressions • Attendance Increase • Revenue • Other measures of success

Awards Entry: Print Advertisement Category • Please use this slide to illustrate your print advertisement category entry. • Insert samples of your print advertisement here. • Use a JPEG file format. • Insert additional slides with pictres if needed. • Insert 50 -100 word description of the entry including the creative concept and how successful it was.

Awards Entry: Outdoor Advertisement Category • Please use this slide to illustrate your print advertisement category entry. • Insert samples of your outdoor advertisement in this slide. • Use a JPEG file format. • Insert additional slides with pictures if needed. • Insert 50 -100 word description of the entry including the creative concept and how successful it was.

Awards Entry: Integrated Marketing and Digital Marketing Campaign Categories Campaign Information • Please use this slide to provide information on the campaign that you are submitting. • Information could include: • Concept and rationale: what were you hoping to achieve? • Target market: who were you hoping to reach? • Objectives: what were your key objectives? • Execution: how did you execute this?

Insert duplicate slides as necessary to complete this section. • Information could include: • Sample of print media • Sample radio spot • Sample TV spot • Other media samples

Saving Your Presentation • Once your PowerPoint is complete, burn it to a CD. • Use the following name format to name your files: • Printyourparkname.ppt • Outdooryourparkname.ppt • Integrateyourparkname.ppt • Digitalyourparkname.ppt • Please burn each category entry onto a separate CD • Your CD label should indicate: award category, your park’s name, and address.

  14. Final Information Entry Deadline Entries must be received by IAAPA no later than close of business August 6, 2010. Each IAAPA facility member may submit one entry only in each category. Notification of receipt of the application will be acknowledged and finalists will also receive notification when judges have made their decisions. Attendance to the Awards Presentation is open to all. Entries become the property of IAAPA and will not be returned.
