  10. 1st football game broadcasted • The now-essential relationship between pro football and television actually began on October 22, 1939. That’s when the National Broadcasting Company earned a spot in pro football history by becoming the first network to televise a pro football game.

  11. 1st colored TV show broadcasted • First Color Television Broadcast: June 25, 1951 • The first color television broadcast was an hour-long program broadcast on CBS on June 25, 1951. However, since most television sets were unable to broadcast in color, only a few people were able to view the event, mostly in CBS television studios.
