Recent news • -Verizon has been attempting to gain entry into the market of providing cloud services to corporations. • -Verizon acquired Terremark Worldwide Inc. and Cloudswitch • -Verizon’s third quarter profits doubled this year. • -Share price in the third quarter jumped from 23 cents at the same time last year and 55 cents in the previous quarter of this year to 56 cents a share. • -45,000 Verizon workers went on strike in August after a proposition for a new labour pact failed and contracts expired. • -Verizon was ordered to cease unlawful use of technology belong to ActiveVideo Networks by the courts
