BILINGUAL EDUCATION • Bilingualsare those who are able to speak two languages easily and naturally. • Bilingual Education application of specialized educational techniques to enhance the learning opportunities of students whose native language differs from the way they class is taught • Language minority students in the United States are often called limited English proficient (LEP) students. • Bilingual Educationis a very positive method used inour school systems in the United States. 7 to 10 percent of our population is Bilingual.

Strategies For Dealing With Racism • Learning activities that can be done in a classroom that may help reduce the effects of racism is having discrete lessons around particular events such as Martin Luther Kings birthday, Chinese New Year, Columbus Day and etc. • Classroom actives that can be done in classroom • Performing plays on various groups • Learn songs in different languages • make maps showing the origin of various groups • keep a journal based on one or more themes, such as holidays around the world

Students In Your Classroom • Becoming aware of the many differences between the students is.. • Before the school year even begins, know each child's background information. • If possible get together with his/her teacher from the previous years and see how their behavior and cognitive leaning skill are. • - Spending quality individual time with each one of them. -Students learn best when they know you truly care about them. You are able to find their basic needs that all students have. Students need to feel the since of belonging, acceptance, respect and self-esteem and the need to feel loved. • Students need to know you hear them, you see them, and you care about them
