  3. Program Procedures • Contact School District • School submits application • Solar site assessment performed • Contacts signed • Go out for bid for solar panels and installation services • Install equipment

  5. 2006 Solar for Schools • $100,000 grant from the State Energy Conservation Office • Pole mounted PV systems • 2 schools in Round Rock • 9 schools in Austin • Systems installed summer of 2006

Summary • To date, Austin Energy has 20 Solar for Schools Partners: • Before 2006: 3 schools (3 AISD) • 2006: 11 schools (9 AISD, 2 RRISD) • 2007: 6 schools (2 AISD, 2 LTISD, 2PISD) • Plans for 2008 – Solar Cities Grant $187,000 match • ACC Riverside Campus, ACC Rio Grande Campus • 2 EISD schools, 2 LISD • Plans for 2009 - $100,000 SECO Grant • 2 DISD schools, 2 AISD schools, 2 MISD schools
