The SI Visby Programme • Long tradition of building networks in the Baltic Sea region • Support for individual mobility with scholarships in both directions, since 1997 • Long-term foreign policy engagement of Sweden. Ambition to strengthen the region as a whole • Master students, PhD students, post-docs, senior scientists, experts

The SI Visby Programme Target groups & audience • Talented individuals who are ambitious, creative and show excellence in their fields of expertise • Applicants capable of expressing an idea, ambition and drive in concrete terms • Dynamic citizens, willing to take an active role and contribute to development of their home country and region • Prospective open-minded leaders, ready to explore a multi-cultural, global environment

The SI Visby Programme Calls and support structures for individual mobility Master students Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine Application date: January 2014-February 2014 PhD students, Post-doctoral researchers, Senior scientists Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine Application date: December 2013-January 2014 Swedish students, PhD students, researchers, experts For study/research/expert visits taking place in any of the countries included in the program Invited by an organization, public agency, university, other actor Application date: October 2013 (for scholarship periods starting in spring 2014) March 2014 (for scholarship periods starting in autumn 2014)

The SI Visby Programme Scholarships for Master students - overview Students from Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine Programs of either one or two years duration, taught in English ~ 60 scholarships will be offered for the academic year 2014/2015 Coverage for tuition fees and living expenses (SEK 9,000/month) Medical insurance Travel grant Membership in the fellowship SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL)

  9. The SI Visby Programme Scholarships for Master students – application procedure 2014/2015 (PRELIMINARY) Choose study program at a Swedish University. A list of eligible programs will be available at www.studyinsweden.se (December 2013) Apply for the selected study program via the Swedish central admissions system at www.universityadmissions.se(December 1, 2013-January 16, 2014) Pay the application fee (mandatory) Apply for a SI Visby Program scholarship by using our online electronic application form, available at www.studyinsweden.se (February 3-11, 2014) Motivation letter (mandatory to use SI Visby Programme template) CV (Europass template only) Letter of reference Wait for the admissions results (April 2014) Scholarship grants to be published at www.studyinsweden.se (April 2014) Candidates to accept scholarship offers and study places (April 2014)
