Pediatric Staffing • It should be noted that the number of Nurses staffing the unit has not changed from when the unit was operating only 8 hours a day to the 24.7 hours on April 6, 2008 • There has been NO increase in staff; yet the number of Pediatric Patients has more than doubled in the same period. • We do not have a Triage nurse, each nurse must triage her patients when they arrive on the unit
