  3. Barrineau Boat Works • Airfoil section wing/sail for Jon’s friend’s boat • Sail collapses like an accordion • Objective: Design control mechanism for sail flap that collapse with the sail

  4. Collapsible Jeep Hardtop • Must be lightweight and collapsible/compartmental • Must be a hardtop • Objective: Design improved hardtop for Jeep Wrangler that can be easily removed/installed by one person

  5. Fluorescent Light Bulb Changer • Used to change out fluorescent light bulbs that are out of reach • Must be able to take out the old bulb as well as put in the new one • Must be easily, manually operated and highly adjustable • Objective: Design mechanism to simplify changing an out of reach bulb by eliminating the use of a ladder

  6. Portable Ramp for Stairs • Compact, lightweight device • Must fit a standard riser and run • Objective: Design mechanism to be used efficiently in aiding the movement of heavy objects up and down stairs

  7. Water Jug Reloader • Used to lift a water jug off the ground and rotate to the correct position • Must be on wheels and be able to carry the water jugs • Objective: Design mobile mechanism to rotate jug, lift jug to proper height, and place it into water cooler base

  8. Pneumatic Jack • Pneumatic powered automobile jack for use in shops • Must be easier than pumping a hydraulic jack while under a vehicle • Objective: Design mechanism that works using compressed air to make the task of jacking a car as easy as pressing a button

  9. Automatic Ball Thrower for Dogs • Automatically throw balls for dogs • Must allow for the dog to return the ball to the machine to be thrown again • Objective: Design mechanism to be easily adjusted to accommodate different ball sizes and how far they would be thrown

  10. Motorcycle Lift & Tow for SUVs • Hitch mounted lift for a dirt bike • Must be able to ride onto the lift • Once locked in place, must be secure enough for transporting a bike • Objective: Design a spring-loaded lift that is easily accessible and secure

  11. Submarine Calendar • Calendar on a paper roll showing 2 months at a time • Two pieces of glass cover these 2 months • Glass is written on using dry erase markers • Objective: Design mechanism to move the 2 pieces of glass to continuously follow the months on paper

  12. Extending Arm Grabber Device • Manually operated grasping device for one who cannot bend over to pick something up • Objective: Design mechanism to be adjustable to different lengths to accommodate for different heights and disabilities
