  2. KISUMU GUEST HOUSE Client: Mr. S. Ojanga Location: Kisumu town PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project entailed designing outdoor spaces surrounding a guest house located in a residential area. The work mainly involved rejuvenation of the ‘dead’ outdoor spaces and ensuring that they add interest to the guest house. The major challenge was the small amount of space provided in the client’s brief. Features proposed include outdoor lighting, patio, cascading water fountain and parking area. The sitting area

Major concerns involved the provision of facilities that would complement with the services being offered; accommodation. Branding the guest house through landscape design was also considered.   4. PROPOSED NDIKI GETAWAY Client: Mr. Jesse Ndiki Mbugua Location: Ongata Rongai PROJECT DESCRIPTION The work entailed master planning for a getaway/ retreat centre on a 5 acre parcel of land. Features proposed include a parking area, an orchard, a guest house, a multi-purpose hall (accommodating indoor games and seminar areas), a swimming pool with a cafeteria, a relaxation garden and a stream. OLYMPIC HIGH SCHOOL Client: Board of Directors, Olympic High School Location: Kibera, Nairobi PROJECT DESCRIPTION Consultancy services was provided to the secretary of the Board of governors to assist in the development of a master plan that would aid immediate and future development of the primary school. The site has a size of 10 acres with a slope of 20%. Features that are proposed include: Parking area (20 cars) Administration block Library 3 Blocks of classrooms 2 Blocks of science laboratories Staff quarters Agricultural demonstration plots Handball court Basketball court Volleyball court Netball court Swimming pool Master Plan
