(2) Projects/Feasibility studies Shared regional store E-prints server Regional voice for academic libraries Includes sub-regional consortia: ALLIS, LLP, AddLIb Board members common to other relevant fora: MLA-NW, Libraries North West Liaison with related non-library organisations: NWUA Forum for formal and informal professional support Exchange of experience/best practice events Opportunity for practitioners to consult large and diverse professional constituency

  6. How does NoWAL operate? Board - 13 library directors plus Exec. Secretary NoWAL Office – Executive Secretary, Support Officer, Support Assistant Funded entirely by members’ subscriptions

Pool of professional expertise (disaster recovery planning, institutional repositories, databases of contacts and experts) High quality staff development opportunities within the region Advocacy and influence (NWUA, HEFCE, MLA-NW, JISC)
