  1. What Is An Assault And Some Of Its Types

  2. Introduction You need to know what an assault is and its different types - and what the difference between them is. It will enable you to be careful in the future and try not to get involved in any of these.

  3. What Is An Assault An assault can simply be defined as a threat, attempt or an actual act of harming a person, physically. There can be various degrees of harm. On the basis of this, there are many types of assault, some of which are discussed here.

  4. Simple Assault A simple assault is a threat to someone that makes them afraid of getting beaten. It does not need the actual occurrence of battery, but just the threat and the consequent fear is enough to put the offender in trouble.

  5. Assault Causing Bodily Harm When an assault results in bodily harm to the victim, it is a more serious crime. It will not be a simple assault anymore as the victim has received actual physical harm.

  6. Assault With A Weapon When the victim uses a weapon during the assault, it will have more consequences than the previous two types of assaults.

  7. Aggravated Assault When the aggression of the victim crosses a certain limit and causes serious injuries to the victim, it is categorized as an aggravated assault. The severity and seriousness of injuries determine whether it is an aggravated assault or not.
