  1. Scene: Set the context of the video with images from Pearl Harbor attack. A headline and an image would work to make the scenario clear. Narration: When the US was launched into World War Two by the attack on Pearl Harbor, Oregon bolted into action.

  2. Narration: Led by Henry J Kaiser, Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation became a major source of US warships. Kaiser needed thousands of top caliber workers to fulfill the contract, so he recruited across the country and had workers trained by unions upon arrival. Scene: Show the scale of the effort; thousands of workers all converging on the shipyards. Also tie in Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation

  3. Narration: Of the 125,000 people employed to work around the clock in the Portland and Vancouver shipyards building vessels for the US Maritime Commission, over 20,000 were IBEW Electricians. Scene: Show the scale of the work force and the work IBEW was doing.

  4. Narration: The skill that IBEW brought to the effort allowed Oregon to produce 455 ships between 1941 and 1945. The productivity in the Oregon shipyards was unmatched throughout the entire country. Alongside their fellow workers, IBEW Electricians set a number of records for building speed and ship quality. One ship, the Joseph N Teal, was constructed in a world record 10 days. Scene: Examples of how productive the shipyards were. Pictures of a group of ships and the Joseph N Teal.

  5. Narration: IBEW was a leader in this team effort that took place on a massive scale. With their brethren from the Iron Shipbuilders and Helpers of America, Iron Workers, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, and Sheet Metal Workers Unions, IBEW made sure their job was done so that the war could be won. Scene: Give credit to some of the other unions and show a few snapshots of their work on the project.

  6. Narration: From warships to electric vehicles and solar panels, IBEW has evolved over the last 100 years. Scene: Transition from the historical perspective to what IBEW is doing today

  7. Narration: Some things, however, have remained the same. The dedication and skill that made the Oregon shipyards the most efficient in the country remain cornerstones of IBEW’s culture. Scene: Connect the traditions of the past to the present. If possible, a fade from an old image of electricians working to a current image.

  8. Narration: Whether your project is big or small, you can be sure that by working with IBEW you will have the most skilled and reliable electricians to get the job done right. Scene: Move into contact info for IBEW.
