  6. The Maya civilization was located in southern Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula.

  7. The height of the Mayan culture was from 300 AD to 900 AD.

  8. The Mayans were technologically advanced in the areas of astronomy, engineering, and architecture.

  9. The Mayans created the only complete writing system in the ancient America’s using hieroglyphics.
