Why? • Searching for important fish-benthos associations • Development of fish-benthos indicators for environmental monitoring • Identifying important geographical areas • Feeding areas • Zoogeografiske areas (depth, temperature, current, sedimentstructure etc) This work is done because we like to Understand a more complex structure of the benthic system by looking at fish and benthos together Make a basis for long-term monitoring of complex systems as benthos+fish Management plan of Barents Sea and Lofoten area Arctic council – CAFF and a Pan-Arctic perspective To have a close corporation with Russian scientists
