  7. From Debra’s perspective... Because of the autism SETH CANNOT COMMUNICATE through verbal expression... • “I used the autism label to get him services but I refused to accept the diagnosis. In fact it would be years before I could actually say that Seth was autistic.” • “Seth would not be like other people. He would not wake up one day and be able to speak normally. He would never be independent. He would not be able to protect himself. The words never, won’t, unable and can’t swirled around my son.”
