  2. HELP US MAKE HISTORY THE FIRST PROFESSIONAL SPORTING EVENT EVER IN MILLENNIUM PARK The 2010 US Open Squash ChampionshipsSeptember 25 – October 3, 2010. To benefit METROsquash & Chicago Public School students. The best men and women professionals playing on a four glass wall court on the Pritzker Pavilion stage in Millennium Park.

  3. THE CAUSE METROsquash is a 501(c)(3) after school program serving Chicago Public School students through the combination of academic enrichment and squash instruction. We’ve seen amazing results and we need your help to bring this program to the next level. THE SPORT Squash is an fast-paced, exciting sport. Typically played indoors, the 2010 U.S. Open offers the rare opportunity to view this sport in a spectacular setting - a glass court on the stage of the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. THE OPPORTUNITY Sponsorship of the 2010 U.S. Open in Millennium Park enables companies and individuals alike to support Chicago Public School students while reaching a global and influential squash audience.

METROSQUASH WHO WE ARE • METROsquash helps Chicago Public School students reach their full academic, athletic and personal potential through: • Academic tutoring & Mentoring • Squash instruction & Tournament Travel • Cultural Enrichment & Community Service • Currently serves 60 students in 5th - 9th grades across 8 schools • Every student studies and trains at least 10 hours per week • METROsquash prepares students for entry into competitive high schools and colleges, exposes them to competition, and teaches sportsmanship • Results: • Over 50% of METROsquash students gain admission to selective high schools, in addition to securing scholarships to private and boarding schools • Students have won numerous state and national squash championships and traveled across the country and the world

METROSQUASH • WHERE WE’RE GOING • METROsquash plans to build an 8 court squash facility to serve over 200 students per year in grades 3 through 12 • A facility would encourage involvement of the greater Woodlawn / Hyde Park community, in addition to significantly increasing the impact on Chicago Public School students and their families • This would be the largest squash center in the Midwest and would replicate the success of standalone Urban Squash facilities in Boston, Harlem, and Philadelphia Lenfest Center, Philidelphia Badger & Rosen SquashBusters Center, Boston SL Green StreetSquash Center, Harlem

  7. HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED • Event sponsorship includes a rare opportunity for a company to align public outreach and community interaction with marketing to a key high end demographic. Tournament Sponsorship: Partner with a premier global squash event that will be the largest in North America. The METROsquash Experience: Help support an educational expo in Millennium Park for thousands of Chicago Public School students. Students will encounter exciting new places, people, and ideas including a Squash exhibit, Academic Enrichment exhibits, Fitness and Nutrition exhibits, Financial Literacy exhibits and Cultural exhibits.
