FYIs • SSU has 100 participant cap • Available to any faculty member (to be a Host) • Email the URL for the “meeting room” to anyone • Hosts create multiple “rooms” for a variety of uses • Customize each one
Create Your Classroom • Name (your Meeting) • Custom URL http://shawnee.adobeconnect.com/_____ • Be sure you have been entered in the system as a HOST by Bill Hannah • http://shawnee.adobeconnect.com • Create New: • Note Access
Set Up Your Room • Far right…(under Help)…Layouts • Move • Remove • Menu Bar ->Meeting ->Manage ->Preferences • General -> Room Appearance • Menu Bar ->Layouts-> • Create New Layout • Manage Layouts -> Rename and Delete
Using Your Room • Menu Bar -> Pods • Interactivity and Sharing Resources • Adobe Connect currently supports only three file formats: • PowerPoint • Images (jpeg, etc.) • PDF • Important Distinction: Pods -> • SHARE-> • FILES->
Using Your Room • Menu Bar -> Pods • Pods -> Web Links – Add New • Important: • Type in URL in the field at the bottom • Then go to the top right-hand corner of the window and select Add Link • This is also where you may re-title the link to a more intuitive name
Start Your Session Be sure to…Connect your Audio • Be sure to…Start your Webcam • Be sure to…Admit your participants as they arrive • And give them audio privileges, status, etc. • And tell them to TURN OFF MIC WHEN FINISH SPEAKING
