  5. What is the difference between an exocrine and endocrine gland? • Exocrine – release their products into ducts • Endocrine – release their products (hormones) directly into the bloodstream

  6. Which gland is both exocrine and endocrine? • Pancreas

  7. Give 2 examples of exocrine glands? • Salivary glands • Mammary glands • Gastric glands • Sweat glands

  8. What is a hormone? • Chemical messenger • Made of protein or steroid • Produced by endocrine gland • Carried in the bloodstream • To where is has a specific effect
