Luckily, there are ways to get rid of hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone by using Best Skincare Products and treatments. There are so many products available in the market to treat it, from low budget to high. If your hyperpigmentation is severe and products aren’t enough to cure it, it may cause adverse effects. So you can consult a Dermatologist for treatments. Before Going to treatment options, let’s know about what is hyperpigmentation, causes and prevention. What is Hyperpigmentation? Hyperpigmentation is the darkening of the skin by melanin, or skin pigment called Melasma. Melanocytes are the cells which cause melanin. melanocyte cells contains melanosomes which contains melanin. Melanin absorbs UV light and is usually brown or black in color. It absorbs sunlight to protect skin cells from damage caused by UV radiation. Skin changes into brown color when melanosomes leave melanocytes and move to the outer layer of the skin.

  2. Causes of Hyperpigmentation The major causes of Hyperpigmentation are Excessive production of melanin, Sun Exposure, Acnes, Hormones and hereditary. It usually appears on the face and hands i.e. mostly on the exposed parts. Prevention of Hyperpigmentation For hyperpigmentation, you must avoid Sun exposure, apply sunscreens with more than 30 SPF and reapply it for every 3-4 hours. Avoid scratching pimples and spots from acne which makes scars which will make the skin worse. You can also prevent hyperpigmentation by using skincare products that will protect from sun damage such as products containing vitamin C, Kojic acid, Azelaic acid and niacinamide.
