  2. What are puns? A play on words; a humorous use of a word. Noun , verb

  3. What is the origin for pun? The word pun has been used in English at least since 1550,it is thought to be originally a contraction of the now archaic pundigorn which originated from punctilious which came from Italy.

  4. Examples of Puns!!!! -I wonder why the baseball kept getting bigger, then it hit me. -I went to a seafood disco rave last week and pulled a mussel. -I used to be a baker, but I didn’t make enough dough.

  6. What is the effect puns have on a sentence? Puns effect a sentence like a metaphor, describing or comparing a sentence meaning. Giving the sentence a funny appeal.
