Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial • Medical Office • Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial values: • excellence, accountability, compassion, integrity, respect, & teamwork. • Gerber Memorial care includes: • family practice • obstetrics & gynecology • limited license psychology • x-ray & laboratory services. • What would you be doing? • Acting as an aid to the medical assistants & the Physician’s assistants • Set up rooms for patients, take vital signs, perform general assessments, give immunizations, administer TB skin tests, do A1C checks, perform Pulmonary function tests (PFT), obtain urinary samples, read pregnancy tests & much more! • Program Outcomes • Personal Goals: • Providing holistic care& overall health promotion, • gaining knowledge about medical conditions • improved patient communication • developing a personalized order of assessment • improving on skills learned in skills lab • Involvement in my community • Nursing Program Values: • Collaboration, Diversity, Ethical Community, Excellence, Learning, & Opportunity.
