  2. Aims • To explore relevant aspects of the Teachers’ Standards • To support you in evaluating your progress towards meeting the Teachers’ Standards in your Induction Year • To provide opportunities for you to collaborate with other professionals

  3. Agenda • 1.30pm - Introduction • 1.35pm - Transition to Year 2:  Performance Management • (Headteachers of host schools) • 1.55pm - Health & well-being input (including break) • (GHLL Lead teachers) • 3.20pm - ‘How to look after ourselves’ • (Occupational Health, GCC) • 3.50pm – Evaluations.

Transition point 3 – towards the end of your induction period, supported by your induction tutor • This stage of the process helps you to review your professional • development over the entire induction period and to take stock of • how much you have achieved. It will help you to focus on your • continuing professional development needs for your second year • of teaching, and prepare you for involvement in the school’s • performance management arrangements.

  6. Health, well being and safe guarding • 1.1 Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils • a) establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect • b) set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions • c) demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils. • 2.1 • b) having regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being, in accordance with statutory provisions
