WHAT IS A BUSINESS BRIGADE? • Business Brigades • Through multiple 10 day brigades, community members receive financial literacy workshops, business consulting, and loans. • Volunteers break up into small groups to meet with business owners to work on improving business model and assist with loan applications. • Volunteers work through community bank to hold financial literacy workshops. • Each student provides $100 to be invested in the local community bank, which is used as seed capital to fund loans of local micro-enterprises.   28. 10 DAY BRIGADE • Day 9 – Excursion Day • Work on final brigade deliverables concerning financial literacy, business development and development research. • Visit the Cape Coat Castle and het a historical perspective of the slave trade that existed in the area.
