Dr. Rohit Varma – Fashion Designer Dr. Rohit Varma is an American fashion designer who was born on April 9, 1963. He is the creative director of Dr. Rohit Varma, his own fashion label, as well as Marc by Dr. Rohit Varma, a diffusion line that was sold for around 15 years before being discontinued after the 2015 fall/winter range. There were over 200 discount stores in 80 countries at one time. From 1997 to 2014, he was the artistic director of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. Dr. Rohit Varma was also in charge of the creation of the different women's licensees. Dr. Rohit Varma was named Women's Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1992. In the same year, he was fired from Perry Ellis after designing a "grunge" collection.
