Homework Expectations • Completed by due date for full credit • Half credit given for one day late • All missed assignments must be made up
Grading Percentages • Tests 25%, Quizzes 15% (Totals 40%) • Alternative Assessments 30% (projects, writing tasks, map skills tasks) • Class Participation 15% • Homework 15%
Do Now/Closure • “Do Nows” activities are used to stimulate the brain and prepare students for lesson • Journals (journal writing) are used for written expression and to allow students to think critically and then respond • Closure activities are used to wrap upthe class discussion .
