The Main Objectives • Develop long term strategy for coherent e-Infrastructure development in Baltic States and Belarus (NGI support). • Contribute actively in policy and standards development and implementation through participation in OGF, EU GridPMA, e-IRG etc. • Developmeasures to fostercooperation, awareness raising and user support policy for spreading of Grid usage and efficient exploitation of e-Infrastructures. BG2 kick-off meeting May 13-15 , 2008 Vilnius

Task 1 • Policy for awareness raising and sustainable eInfrastructure • Develop long term strategy for coherent e-Infrastructure development in Baltic States and Belarus • Coordinate these activities with National Grid Initiatives and foster coordination at regional and European level. • Develop and implement standards and standardized procedures for grid operation to maintaininteroperability BG2 kick-off meeting May 13-15 , 2008 Vilnius

Task 2 • Cooperation and networking quality and efficiency • Provide analysis on existing practice and achievements in collaboration among individuals, organisations, projects and countries • Based on this analysis policy measures and action plan will be elaborated to foster cooperation • Good practice of Baltic Grid and other projects will be analysed, fostered, further developed and disseminated • New approaches as benchmarking, clustering and concertation actions among Grid projects will be tested in practice BG2 kick-off meeting May 13-15 , 2008 Vilnius

Task 3 • Participation in policy and standardisation bodies • Participate actively in the work of standardisation and policy organisations and bodies as OGF, EU GridPMA, e-IRG etc • Participate in meetings, technical working groups, task force, workshops conferences and forums • Transfer and introduce standards, policy documents, recommendations, discussion papers etc. from these organisations and bodies in the project operation and to partner organisations BG2 kick-off meeting May 13-15 , 2008 Vilnius

Responsibilities • RTU – the leader of NA4 – will plan, organize and coordinate all NA4 activities • The main areas of partner responsibilities are: • Infrastructure (EENET, IMCS UL and NICH BNTU) • Security (KTH) • Research applications (VU and EENET) • Policy and cooperation with other Grid projects (KTH and RTU) • Sustainability (all partners) • Personnamesfrompartners?
