  4. Bus Rapid Transit Rapid Route 235 is the first of several Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) services to be implemented in the San Diego region. Partnership between MTS, Caltrans, and SANDAG BRT is becoming increasingly popular in urban communities because it offers many of the features offered by rail-based transit

  5. Rapid Vehicle Amenities • Designed for maximum comfort • Forward-facing cushioned seats • Greater suspension for a smoother ride • More natural light • All vehicles will accept on-board cash payments and Compass Cards

  6. Rapid Station Amenities • Lighted shelters with seating and real-time, next arrival electronic signage • Convenient Park & Ride lots at Escondido, Del Lago, Rancho Bernardo, and Sabre Springs Transit Stations • Iconic Downtown stations will feature new landscaping, wider sidewalks, and monument signs at each end of the block

  7. Frequency Rapid 235 -  During peak-hour commutes, service will be every 15 minutes.  During off-peak hours and on weekends, service will be every 30 minutes. RapidExpress 280 and 290 areweekday, peak-hour services with 10 trips south in the morning and 11 trips north in the evening.
