  4. Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty,      creator of heaven and earth.

  5. Apostles’ Creed I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,      who was conceived by the Holy Spirit      and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate,      was crucified, died, and was buried;      he descended to hell.

  6. Apostles’ Creed The third day He rose again from the dead.      He ascended to heaven      and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

  7. Apostles’ Creed I believe in the Holy Spirit,      the holy catholic church,      the communion of saints,      the forgiveness of sins,      the resurrection of the body,      and the life everlasting. Amen.

  12. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Destination: Where are We Going?

  13. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Destination: Where are We Going? “Serving [the believers] will be immortal youths with jeweled and crystal cups filled with the purest wine which will neither give them headache nor hangover, with fruits and meats of their desire. They will be fair ones with lovely intense eyes like guarded pearls; A reward for the good deeds of their past life.” (56:17-24)

  14. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Destination: Where are We Going? Nirvana:  literally means "blown out", as in an oil lamp. In the Buddhist context, nirvanarefers to realization of non-selfand emptiness, marking the end of rebirth by stilling the fires that keep the process of rebirth going.

  15. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Path: Is it Worth it?

  16. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Path: Is it Worth it? Isaiah 65:17 - “For behold, I create new heavensand a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

  17. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Path: Is it Worth it? Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

  18. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryThe Path: Is it Worth it? Hebrews 11:1, 6 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 6And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

  19. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryFirstfruits: Tasting the Future Harvest Romans 8:16 - The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, John 16:3 - When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth,  1 Corinthians 12:4 - Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

  21. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryFirstfruits: Tasting the Future Harvest Exodus 2:24-25 24And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 God saw the people of Israel—and God knew.

  26. A Destiny: The Hope of GloryFirstfruits: Tasting the Future Harvest Ephesians 1 11In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
