  9. Only 2 fields that need to be completed for test being sent through LIO. What is tested. Needs to match what you put in collection sample.

  10. All of this can be left blank. Results are transmitted through LIO as one big piece including result, units, interpretation, and normal ranges.

  11. For non-LIO tests 3 result types: Set of Codes, Numeric, Free Text What the tech will enter in CHCS

  12. The expansion is the result the Dr sees Result code is flagged as High. This will appear on the ACR report.

  13. Can set as negative Set of codes- no units

  14. Absolute Low/High Gen 43600 Are system data tables set up to detect absurd values before reporting?

  15. Interpretation can be one line or a book.

  16. Normal Ranges: Male/No Sex if values are the same for men and women Female if ranges are different

  17. AGE GROUP CAN BE ENTERED IF NORMAL RANGES ARE DIFFERENT FOR CHILDREN.

  18. Reference ranges can be numeric or free text. Panic Ranges will have * next to the result on the SML and will require tech to enter comment.

  19. MUST BE SET TO YES OR THE TEST WILL NOT SHOW UP ON YOUR SHIPPING LIST

  20. OVERDUE TIME SET FOR WHEN YOU WANT THE TEST TO APPEAR ON THE OPR

  21. Set to 1 for YES when you are SURE you are done with test.

  28. LAB METHODS • NEVER DELETE METHOD FROM LAB METHOD FILE--CAN REMOVE OLD LAB METHOD FROM LAB TEST • NEVER CHANGE LAB METHOD---IT WILL CHANGE HISTORICAL DATA • ADD NEW METHOD TO TEST FILE • WHEN REMOVING “YES” AS DEFAULT MAKE SURE TO FILE BEFORE ADDING NEW METHOD TO SET AS DEFAULT

  29. SET OF CODES • NEVER CHANGE RESULT CODE IN A SET OF CODES METHOD (i.e., N to NEG) • RESULT IS STORED IN THE FORM OF CODE • IF CODE IS CHANGED, RESULTS WILL NO LONGER DISPLAY • CREATE NEW LAB METHOD TO DEFINE DIFFERENT CODES

  30. OTHER DON’T’S in F/T • DO NOT EVER CHANGE THE SUBSCRIPT OF A TEST • DO NOT EVER CHANGE A PANEL FROM AN INPUT TO A BOTH OR VICE VERSA • NEVER CHANGE THE TESTS IN A PANEL
