Grant Review Committee • WISD Education Foundation Directors • Executive Director of C&I • Executive Director of Communications • Chief Technology Officer • Director of Instructional Technology • Director of Federal Programs • 2 Principals • 2 Teachers
Why Proposals Don’t Get Funded • Implementation of the program is unclear • The program has already been funded • There are no measurable results • The proposal asks for funding for facility improvements. • There may be free resources on web or Title funding available • The application was solid but there were not enough dollars available to fund (recommend re-submitting)

Proposal Measures • Evaluation of the program must be measurable. • This can be achieved through surveys, teacher feedback, student and parent responses, classroom test scores and other statistics.
Successful Grant Writing Tips Yes Please! • Insert photos • Insert web links • If you are requesting items that have been previously funded, tell us how the materials will be used differentlyin your classroom.
Budget Page • Use current retail prices • Avoid gathering prices from Sunday sale flyers or from Special Offers • Include shipping & handling charges • Itemize your requests for books, gift cards, etc.
