Tribal owned businesses & DBE Certification • For Control, disadvantaged individuals (not Firm owners) must have operational and managerial control (CEO, board members, officers, etc.) • These individuals do not have to be tribal members, but do have to belong to a group the DBE recognizes as disadvantaged • These disadvantaged individuals must complete the Personal Financial Statement and meet the personal net worth requirement • NAICS codes are assigned based on these disadvantaged individuals technical knowledge and expertise (not Firm owners).
