  2. AMA Pro HillclimbAbout Us AMA Pro Racing is the premier professional motorcycle racing organization in North America, operating a full schedule of events and championships for a variety of motorcycle disciplines. Headquartered in Daytona Beach, FL and only minutes from Daytona International Speedway, the company’s lead principals are among the most prominent professionals in the motorsport industry. The Professional Hillclimbers Association is in charge of overseeing the track operations at each event. They ensure the safety of the track, machines and riders. The PHA’s main purpose is in the representation of the riders; however they also work very closely with the Promoters Group to optimize the spectator experience. AMA Pro Hillclimb is comprised of three diverse yet equally exciting classes which produce extreme competition in the most traditional form of racing. Thehistory of hillclimbing is a rich one dating back to the early 1900’s. It’s format remains relatively unchanged, with man and machine versus mountain. Each event offers different terrain, elevation, and obstacles for the riders. With jumps, breakers, turns, rocks, walls and even motocross style tabletops and step up jumps, the fans are sure to witness lightning fast runs and gnarly crashes. www.amaproracing.com/hc

  3. AMA Pro Hillclimb Unlimited Class AMA Pro Hillclimb Unlimited Class is the powerhouse centerpiece of hilllclimb racing in the United States. With unlimited engine sizes fueled by 100% nitro methane, these machines show the raw power of this extreme sport. This class represents some of the most powerful motorcycles available from top manufacturers such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, Harley Davidson, Triumph, and others. These 700cc and above bikes produce impressive horsepower in excess of 250. These bikes represent different styles of hillclimbers, from motocross based designs to the more traditional flattrack style Harley Davidson machines with extended swingarms up to 4 feet in length. www.amaproracing.com/hc

  4. AMA Pro Hillclimb Xtreme Class AMA Pro Hillclimb Xtreme Class represents the 451cc motocross bikes to 750cc Harley Davidson and Triumph motorcycles. Each model represents the diversity of the hillclimb machine. From overbore 450cc single cylinder motocross bikes, the 500cc single cylinder two stroke motors, 600cc sportbike motors, to the 750cc Harley Davidsons and Triumphs on custom chassis, there is representation from manufacturers such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Honda, Harley Davidson, Triumph and others. These machines are fueled by alcohol, nitrous oxide, or 100% nitro methane. The Xtreme Class is a battleground between lighter weight machines that often produces the fastest times of the day, even over the horsepower of the Unlimited Class. This variety creates edge-of-your-seat competition, making the Xtreme Class one of AMA Pro Hillclimb’s most exciting classes. www.amaproracing.com/hc

  5. AMA Pro HillclimbPro Sport Class AMA Pro Hillclimb Pro Sport Class is the entry level class in the AMA Pro Hillclimb ranks although the competition is anything but. Motocross, production-based motorcycles, with only the addition of an extended swingarm and paddle tire, are piloted by the “Stars of Tomorrow.” This class allows riders to enter the pro ranks at a relatively low cost and become more experienced to move into the two Expert Classes. These riders are completely comfortable showcasing their talent on the same track as the Expert Riders in hopes of moving up in the AMA Pro Hillclimb ranks. The 2011 season saw an increase in the number of riders in the Pro Sport Class, which brings a new interest to the sport. This class features production-based single cylinder, four stroke motocross bikes representing manufacturers such as Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, and KTM. www.amaproracing.com/hc
