Owning what you do • Why should you take ownership? • You should have your fingerprints all over what you do • A job is really well done only when you own it • This helps you put your best in the job you do • This helps you further to do the job the way it should be done • You can take pride in a job well done • Taking ownership means taking responsibility also

Why people do not take ownership? • Fear of failure • Rude criticism by others • De-motivation • Non recognition of ideas by superiors • Fear of being led on the wrong directions All the above excuses are blames on someone or something else • Blame preventsour own improvement • Blame makes us victims of our environment

What it means? • Taking ownership means • Remembering what you have to do and staying focused • Understand what you have to do in its entirety • Execute the job as though you are the boss who wants an exact result • Track your progress, or the lack of it, if you can’t complete the job on time • Get feedback • Own the results irrespective of the success or failure
