The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the NEET-PG entrance exam for students who want to pursue their MD/MS or DNB programs. After writing the entrance exam and getting the results, students need to go through the MCC NEET counselling process. NEET-PG Counselling is a process where students are allotted colleges based on the marks they acquire in NEET-PG. Stage 1: MCC NEET-PG Counselling Registration The very first stage of the NEET-PG Counselling process is Registration. They can use the seat matrix provided by MCC as reference while choosing their options and follow the steps mentioned below to complete the choice filling process. After finalising the choices candidates can move on to the next stage and lock the options they have chosen. Stage 4: Choice Locking In the Choice locking process, candidates need to lock their list of preferred choices. It is not mandatory for candidates to lock their options on the same day or immediately after filling their choices. They can lock their choices after they are satisfied completely with their choices. Choices cannot be unlocked after they are locked. Hence, candidates need to cross check before locking. If they don’t lock their choices, the selected options will get locked automatically on the MCC NEET-PG counselling closing date. Steps for the Choice Locking Process: Step 1: Click on the ‘Lock Choice’ tab (active only on notified days). Step 2: All the submitted options will be displayed on the screen. Step 3: Cross-verify the choices and click on ‘I agree to lock my choices’ option which comes under ‘Agreement before Choice Locking’. Step 4: Enter your ‘Password’ before clicking on the ‘Lock my Choices’ button. A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen. Step 5: Take a printout of the locked choices for future reference. Stage 5: Result and Admission The MCC NEET-PG seat allotment will be announced a few days after the registration window is closed. However, these seats will be allotted only if the Round 1 candidate vacates or upgrades in Round 2. Types of Candidates Eligible for Round 2: 1.Registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 . 2.Registered candidates whose allotted seat from Round 1 got cancelled during the document verification process as they secured a seat under reserved quota due to change in: a.
