  1. What’s That Stuff? Poster Project

  2. Create a Poster that presents some type of Special Matter • Check out at least 3 articles on http://pubs.acs.org/cen/whatstuff/ • Record the 3 articles that you looked at on the back of the poster you create • Choose 1 & create an advertisement/poster • Answer these questions: • What is it? • Why is it special or interesting? (2 reasons) • How is it made? • Sell it; why would someone want to use it? What are related advantages or disadvantages?

  3. Make your poster using Microsoft word • 8 ½ x 11 poster • Color must be done using color pencils or markers!! So leave outlines: • Remember, it should be readable standing a few feet away! Use large, clear fonts.

  4. Create it in Black and WhiteThen Color it with Markers and Colored Pencils

  5. Example (I would leave more outlines to color in though)

  6. the other 2 articles • Write a paragraph for each of the 2 articles that you read but did not choose for your poster • In your paragraphs you should still answer the same questions • What is it? • Why is it special or interesting? (2 reasons) • How is it made? • Why would someone want to use it? What are related advantages or disadvantages? • These must be typed & attached to the back of your poster
