  5. Emergency Preparedness ◊ Everyone must know how to provide for their own needs for an extended period of time, whether at work, home, or on the road!

  6. Community Resilience ◊ Local people and communities are prepared and are working with emergency services, are able to respond effectively and recover quickly from emergencies. Communities build on existing local relationships, uses local knowledge and prepares for risks.
