Targets included cafes, restaurants, discotheques, etc:
3. What can US Homeland Security learn from Israel’s experience? Terrorism is more complex than it appears. Learn about the appartus that supports terrorist acts and special counter measures developed in response.
Learn about the mindset and cultural influences that create Terrorism through hands on experts from the field.
Learn about many modus operandi that have been used by terror groups throughout the world.
Visit the actual sites of attacks and get detailed briefings that will help deepen your understanding
4. What can US Homeland Security learn from Israel’s experience? SSI’s Global Security Workshop is a program designed BY Law Enforcement FOR Law Enforcement
Created in 2005 after many meetings with various local, state and federal agency members who wanted to take advantage of lessons learned and were looking for new sources of proven methods
Since 2005, SSI has trained over 800 different agencies with this program
5. Learn from the Experts in the Field President of SSI, Henry Morgenstern has spent 20 years in Israel and has dual citizenship.
He collaborated with other experts in his book, “Suicide Terror: Understanding and Confronting the Threat”
Based on US and Israeli experiences and detailed interviews with frontline personnel.
Co-written with Ophir Falk, who has over a decade of experience in various security capacities and served as a risk consultant for the 2004 Olympic Games
The Workshop content is executed with these same experts sharing their knowledge and experience with our participants.
6. “On both a professional and a personal level the training was outstanding. I don't think anyone can understand the issues that Israel has to deal with as a nation without the firsthand experience.
The training we received was very well balanced as to the many facets of security concerns that the police and private security have to deal with on a daily basis. It was invaluable to learn how the military, law enforcement and private security agencies cooperate and work toward a common goal.”
- Lt Col Richard Wheeler,
Commander Strategic Planning Let our decades of collective experience and expertise help you protect your community. Past participants are confident in the added value they received with the Global Security Workshop.

7. Applying to US Homeland Security Many participating agencies have adopted strategies and theories learned in Israel to their agency protocols.
“As deputy chief of the anti-terrorism and explosive devices section of the Jordan International Police Training Center, where we are currently training most all of the Iraqi Police Service (IPS) cadets, it was very beneficial information for me to expand on current training and to expand on our upcoming $1.5 million IED training field.
I would strongly suggest trying to attend any of SSI anti/counter-terror, tactical or special operations training programs. I have to say it was very thorough training and real time information relating to terrorist and terrorism. I know you will not be discouraged and will leave the program very confident in what you learned and ready to implement such with your own police colleagues and agencies.”
Tim Greene, Deputy Chief, Anti-Terrorism & IED Section, Jordan International Police Training Center

Lessons learned from real-world experience:
Unparalleled Access
Circles of Security

Best Practices in Terrorism Behavioral Profiling
Expecting the Unexpected: Terrorist Modus Operandi
Effect of Terrorism on the Population
12. Unparalleled Access With 20 years of history in Israel, the Global Security Workshop is able to provide access to areas that would never be possible otherwise. Past participant feedback:
“Henry and Sol arranged access for us to some of the most sensitive sites and people in Israel, including the Knesset (Israeli Parliament building), the Port of Haifa (this is the city repeatedly attacked during the last war with Hezbollah), a nuclear power plant, etc.
The caliber of guest speakers was exceptional and included high-ranking police executives, politicians and Israeli Special Operations types. In fact, our bodyguards (yes, we had our own security team during the trip) were former ISA special operators.”
-Charles Daenzer,
Law Enforcement Training Center –
Counterterrorism Division Chief
