    9. IMPORTANT! Under “HIP” plans, you are responsible for 100% of medical bills and prescription costs until annual deductible has been met.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Designed to help individuals save for future qualified medical expenses on a tax-free basis UCF will contribute $41.66/mth for individual coverage and $83.33/mth for family coverage Employees have the option to contribute on a bi-weekly basis: Individual: Max $3,000/yr Family: Max $5,950/yr Function as tax-free savings accounts

How HSAs Work: Funds are available up to the amount in your HSA at any given point in time You receive a debit card and convenience checks you can use to: Pay eligible healthcare expenses directly or reimburse yourself for eligible healthcare expenses Funds remaining in account at year-end roll over to future years Funds in account are portable Disclaimer: $3/mth maintenance fee (balance under $5,000)
