  2. What is KEMSA LMIS? • A logistics management information system (LMIS) collects, processes, and reports logistics data. A well-functioning LMIS provides decision makers throughout a supply chain with accurate, timely, and appropriate data. For both EMMS and programs • KEMSA LMIS is developed locally by KEMSA inhouse software development team and hosted in KEMSA servers

Pre-implementation of KEMSA LMIS • Orders were done using the Manual Standard Ordering and Request form(SORF). • The SORF was sent to KEMSA through courier services. • Data would then be keyed in the KEMSA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by Customer Service Department. • Proforma invoice or quotation would be sent back to the facility/County. For Programs’ orders would be booked in the ERP for processing with Manual Memo drafted from NASCOP • KEMSA would then process the orders and commodities dispatched.

KEMSA LMIS Functionality KEMSA eMobile/LMIS Servers County approves the facilities orders based on their budget on KEMSA eMobile/LMIS Facilities order for commodity via KEMSA eMobile/LMIS User (both at facilities and counties)acknowledge receipt of commodities User (both at facilities and counties) queries for order status and fill rates Key : LMIS : Logistics Management Information System User (both at facilities and counties) queries the turn around time for orders User (both at facilities and counties) checks at their customer balances

FEATURES OF THE KEMSA LMIS 2 • Multiple facility FCDRR uploading functionality and EMMS for the sub-county teams-Upload in 1 minute for more than 30 facility FCDRRs • Better User experience in preparation of reports –during data entry and uploading • More Lite and improved performance( Speed) • Incorporated validations at initial stage of data entry and uploading to check data quality foe both EMMS and Programs • Password Management system-Self service

  8. FEATURES OF THE NEW KEMSA LMIS • Ability to generate National and County, Sub county, Facility Reports • Approval hierarchy from facility to subcounty to County to KEMSA (System based)

  9. Post-implementation of KEMSA LMIS • Orders are done electronically using the KEMSA eMobile/LMIS • Enhanced order placement and consumption reporting by the facilities • Reduced paper work, error rates and costs • Improved order turnaround time from order to delivery at the facility
