  2. Computer risks • There are many threats and risks you can have wile using a computer • Viruses: They can destroy your files and could destroy your computer permanently. They can also get personal details and credit card bills which is not good. Phishing: This is a big threat. Its when someone tricks somebody into providing bank or credit-card information by sending a fraudulent e-mail purporting to be from a bank, Internet provider, etc. asking for verification of an account number or password • As this is a manga company, you would not want new ideas, comics and new designs to be leaked, so security is very important.

  3. Protect your computer • To protect your computer and keep it healthy, there are many things you can do. Some way you can so this are anti virus programs. Examples of these are : • MacAfee • Norton • Virgin media • To keep it healthy, regular scans are advised to protect it from viruses. You can also block internet pages that are seen dangerous to computers. • Also, some files that you can receive from downloading or email can be harmful. Virus scanners will show when a file can be harmful and will give u a choice whether to continue.

  4. Precautions to keep information safe • One major way to keep information safe is to not share information with anyone. If websites or programs ask for details, do not enter them as they could steel them and steel from you. • Another way is not to open unopened emails that you do not no were they came from. They could enter your files and steel your details.

  5. How to make staff aware • Posters and leaflets: Make posters and stick them up in offices and eating halls. This will make them aware and they will see the risks of viruses. Also, give each member of staff a leaflet with al the info so they can read precautions and how to be safe. • Talks Have regular talks to make sure they are doing it right. Its better to be safe then sorry. Make sure they no how to deal with viruses, and how to run regular scans to keep there computer safe.

  6. Points on why backing up is good • If important files are only on one computer, and that computer breaks, the files will not be able to be recovered, this is why having files on more then one place is handy. • If a virus deletes your files, then you will have backups to restore them.

More about anti virus programs • Some anti virus programs are free and some do come installed with the computer. • Some come with broadband deals such as virgin • Most you can download from there official websites such as MacAfee and Nortan. • Most cost around £30-£40 and this covers around 3-4 PC’s and haft to renew every year.
