This document explores the strategies and frameworks implemented by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) to enhance social research funding. It details standard and innovative approaches, including in-house and externally commissioned research, the New Horizons programme for horizon scanning, and the establishment of various research networks focused on housing, planning, and governance.
